The adventures of Wolfman
3/14/08

The night was cold and wet. The smell of wet cement and food filled the air. David Andrews frowned out his window at the city that seemed to be sleeping.
"Its too quite out there." He mumbled as he closed the blinds. This was L.A for goodness sake. He knit his brow and paced the room. Ever since the accident he saw danger everywhere. He shivered as he thought of the giant dog looking like animal that had attacked him almost a month ago in the park. He looked sadly down at his two year old daughter. "There is so much danger....So much evil out there. If only you could understand what your Daddy is....If only I could understand it." He frowned and scratched at his stubble. He was tall, slender, with short cut brown hair and deep blue eyes. He was the last man you would expect to have super powers. He sighed and shut the door to the sleeping child's room. He was happy with his life it just seemed more..... complicated now. His house was warm and the sound of rain pounding on the roof made him glad to be inside. The house groaned under the strength of the wind. He sighed and looked out the window again. His wife would be ariving soon. With her here his thoughts would be free from evil. Free from his worries. He looked up at the moon, thankful for the darkness of the night. If he had to change tonight he definatly had the cover of night to hide him. The front door swung open startling him and a beautiful blond woman walked in over the threshold. She was carrying a brown paper sack of groceries and smiled lovingly at her husband.
"Hi David." she put the bag on the counter and went over to give her husband a kiss. He wanted more than anything to share his secret with her, but he knew it would put her in danger. And who could love a man that was part beast. A beast that if it was angered enough could rip the beating heart out of a man. The beast the lingered within him even scared him.
"Hi huny how was your day?" He asked forcing a smile.
"It was fine." she turned to put the groceries away. David watched lovingly and hoped she would never have to see the beast behind the man. Slowly he turned and looked out the window to find himself face to face with a wide eyed figure that stared frightened back at him.

3-31-08 The adventures of wolf man episode 1

The man staring through the window into the clean white living room cowered in the dark shadows. It was cold outside and he shivered as David’s fierce, fiery glare penetrated him. He shrank back from the window and stood shivering in the freshly mowed front yard. David raced outside and came face to face with the intruder. He was a short teenage boy with thick brown hair, and wide blue green eyes. He was skinny and dirty, it was not hard to tell he had been out on the street for quite a while.

“What are you doing here? Why where you looking in my window?” David asked his features softening. He couldn’t help but feel a twinge of compassion and pity for the boy.

“I…..I’m sorry sir. I was just trying to get shelter from the rain under that big tree. Honest!” The boy stuttered and looked down at his dirty bare feet.

“Why don’t you go home for that? I am sure your parents are worried about you.”

“No……. I can’t go home because I don’t have a home to go to. And both of my parents passed away just a few months ago. I have been out on my own since then sir.”

“Oh I see. Well come on in and get dried off. I can get my wife to make you some warm soup and I’m sure we have a change of cloths that my nephew left behind, you can change into that.” David smiled and wrapped an arm around the boy. “What is your name by the way?”

“Will sir.” He replied timidly.

“Well Will I am sorry if I scared you but you can’t just go around peeping in peoples windows.” He smiled but the smile quickly faded. Someone was watching them. “Go inside and I will be in shortly. Tell my wife Sarah that I sent you in there.” The boy did as he was told and quickly entered the house. Quietly David examined his surroundings. Someone was watching him from deep in the dark shadows and he knew just who it would be too. He looked suspiciously at each shadow wondering if it concealed his unseen visitor. A man dressed all in black stepped out of the shadow to the right of the house and ran across the road to join him in his yard.

“I should have known it was you Ace! What do you want here you slime ball?” He glared angrily at the man standing in front of him who was also his main enemy.

“That’s rude of you David can’t a friend just stop bye to say hello?” He smiled revealing his rotting teeth and snickered, “Oh now no pouty faces! I’m just here to have a little fun. You know I really expected better of you Wolfy. I mean allowing a stranger into your home…. How do you know he’s not like me? How do you know hes not worse?” He clicked his tongue and his eyes widened as he spoke.

“He is just a child. There is no way he is worse than you or even any thing like you!”

“Wrong he is a teenager! And how do you know wolfy? How do you know he’s not in that house torturing your wife and daughter right now?” David swallowed over a lump in his throat. “But your right what damage can he do? He is just a child after all.” Ace snickered as he watched David try to hide his concern. “Well adios amigo.” He laughed as a black car sped up to the curb and he climbed in. Slowly David turned back and faced his house, through the window he could see his wife laughing and handing Will a steaming hot bowl of soup and a plat of cookies and a glass of milk. He is just a boy…There is nothing that he could do. David shook away the thoughts that Ace had planted in his head and went inside. It was warm and he was surprised at how cold his skin felt. Will was slurping up the soup and gulping at his milk. He was defiantly an ordinary teenage boy.

“Thank you both for all of this….It is more than I could possibly ask for.” Will put his empty dishes in the sink then gave both David and Sarah a hug.

“You’re very welcome. But I’m afraid it is getting late and you should get some rest.” David looked down at him and he nodded after stifling a yawn.

“Okay. Good-night.” He smiled and bounded up the stairs to the guest bedroom that Sarah had shown him earlier.

“Well I’m tired I think I will go to bed to. Are you going to be up soon David?” Sarah looked at him and caressed his cheek.

“Yes. Just give me a minute.” He replied and watched her go up the stairs. Something was just not right. His daughter Emily had not fussed once. That was not natural for a two year old. He made his way to her nursery and quietly opened the door to check on her. The room was dimly lit by a pooh bear lamp and elephants chased monkeys across the wall. He made his way over to her canopy cradle and pulled back the blankets. SHE WAS GONE! Where could she be she was just there an hour ago! Only one person could have done this …… ACE!

4/2/08 THE ADVENTURES OF WOLFMAN

EPISODE 2

David looked around the empty child’s room. Rage filled his mind and he tried hard to control himself. If he yelled Patty would know something was wrong. The last thing he needed was for her to be upset too.

“I have to find Ace!” He mumbled to himself as he stumbled through the darkness and made his way down the stairs. He pulled his coat on in haste and grabbed his keys. Why hadn’t he seen this coming? It was colder than before outside and the rain left on the streets had frozen over making mud and gasoline puddles into mirrors. David glared at his reflection and pushed back his tears. He had to be there ….Somewhere. He wouldn’t go far. Ace wanted to lour him out by taking something he cared deeply about. His only child. He screamed angrily into the silent night. He didn’t care what he had to do or how long it took….He was going to find his baby. He searched for hours tirelessly. He looked in dark, damp, and dirty alley ways and all the places he would expect a villain like ace to be lurking, but it was all in vain. His child was still missing…..Precious, innocent Emily was out there somewhere with one of the worlds most wicked men. The man that sent that beast that attacked me and changed me. He thought looking through the darkness. It was so thick it was almost suffocating. He could almost hear her crying out in the dark…slicing through the thick silence. He stopped walking a moment and listened intently….HE COULD HEAR HER! She was crying for him and she was close by! His heart lightened and he smiled, he would find his baby. He knew exactly where she was. She was in the abandoned warehouse not far from where he was. He ran across the now dewed over grass. Daddy was coming! But when he rounded the corner ace was blocking his way to the warehouse!

WILL HE WIN THE FIGHT WITH ACE AND GET HIS DAUGHTER OR NOT FIND OUT IN EPISODE 3!

4-22-08 Episode 3

Even from where he stood David could smell stale cigarettes and rotting teeth coming from his enemy. Ace stood there smiling at him as he glared back.

“Why wolfy… what can I do ya for?” He snickered.

“Where is my daughter Ace? Give her to me now!” He demanded letting is voice rise above its earlier hushed tones.

“Oh now wolfy, is that any way to talk to an old friend like me?” He grinned again and exposed badly decaying teeth. David slowly approached and looked the villain in the eyes.

“You’re not my friend and you will NEVER be my friend Ace.” He could feel uncontrollable anger bubbling up. Ace glared back with such hatred it on its own almost knocked him off his balance.

“Are we going to fight or just stand here talking wolfy?” He growled back, anger so thick it dripped from each word. The fight began with a blow from Ace that knocked David to his stomach on the dirty road. The fight raged outside while inside two men watched from a window by where Emily lay on a dusty old table.

“Should we go out and help the boss man?” One of the men asked, he sounded British and was short, dumpy, and unattractive. He was missing many of his teeth and he smelt of beer and cigarettes.

“No he told us to stay in here with the little runt.” The taller man jabbed a finger in Emily’s direction, “so that’s what we are going to do.” The taller man was slender and had the face that resembled that of a drown rat. He smelt of mothballs and mildew. Meanwhile out side the fight was drawing to a close and it seemed as though David had won.

“Fine, you win this time Wolfy but I will win sooner than you think!” Ace got up and motioned for the men inside to follow him. After they left David went inside and picked up Emily. Tears were dried to her cheeks and she looked scared out of her mind. But there in his arms she knew she was safe.

“Come on Em we got to get home its way past your bed time.” The walk home seemed to pass in no time and soon Emily was sleeping safe and sound in her crib again. One thing still bothered him though, what had Ace meant he would win sooner than he thought? He shook his head, He’s just trying to get you riled up David no need to worry. He thought to himself. And with that he went to his own room to lie beside his wife and drift off to sleep. He knew he would see Ace again soon enough.
